I had the opportunity to sit down with author and AI Ethicist, John C. Havens the other day. We discussed the Hollywood strike and how studios’ want to capture and own AI avatars of background actors without paying them for their image or allowing the actors any consent over how their AI image would be used. We also discussed the challenge of copyright infringement when using generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude2 and Bard as well as the inherent bias in AI tools that were trained on the content of the internet.
