Buckle up, thrill seekers – the future of theme parks has arrived. Six Flags announced a multi-year partnership with some of the biggest tech companies to create next-generation park experiences, including VR experiences. As a someone who is terrified to go on an actual roller coaster, I’m over the moon about what this could mean. Let’s break down the details of this momentous tech alliance that aims to revolutionize the amusement industry.
Immersive Fun for the Whole Family
Can you imagine strapping on a virtual headset and zip-lining alongside Bugs Bunny as he escapes Yosemite Sam? Or battling alongside Wonder Woman to save the world from Lex Luthor? Six Flags is teaming up with Pure Imagination Studios to turn our favorite Looney Tunes and DC Comics worlds into exhilarating VR adventures. Families will ride, play, and explore interactive environments that blur the lines between fantasy and reality.
The company is also collaborating with Google Cloud to incorporate artificial intelligence and data analytics to offer personalized recommendations and experiences. For example, the park could suggest rides and Dining Passes based on your past preferences and wait times. So you’ll never waste time in long queues and won’t miss any of your must-do’s!

Next-Gen Operations
While guests enjoy next-gen attractions, Six Flags’ employees will benefit from advanced operational systems behind the scenes. Together with tech consultants HCL and database company Snowflake, cutting-edge tech will power logistics like staff scheduling, inventory and revenue tracking, and breaking news alerts. Teams will gain data-driven insights to improve efficiency and safety across the parks.
The company selected Dell Technologies to supply updated IT infrastructure across its 26 parks. We’re talking state-of-the-art computers, servers, networking, storage and cybersecurity solutions. This ensures reliable technology on which to run critical park systems. Plus, it allows Six Flags to collect and monitor real-time data.
App Developer Joins the Party
To top it off, New York-based innovation studio Fueled will build a new Six Flags app for one-stop mobile access to all these next-gen park features. Users can virtually build their ideal day, navigate the parks, and unlock exclusive content and perks. The app even has a wallet for ticket scanning and cashless payments around the park.
Selim Bassoul, CEO of Six Flags sums it up: “Our guests are at the center of everything we do, and we want to give them the best possible experience.” With unmatched tech firepower from this dream team alliance, the park is poised to deliver a thrilling new frontier of entertainment. Just writing about it has me itching to get a season pass and step into the future of Six Flags! Who’s riding this rollercoaster with me?
